New rumors about Canada’s Prime Minister’s marriage breakup

In 2023, Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire made their marriage public. Now rumors emerged that another person might have played a role.

“Sophie and I would like to announce that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate,” Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister, said on Instagram in August last year. The politician and Sophie Grégoire were married for 18 years and have three children together. The reasons for the end of the marriage were not given at the time. There is now new speculation in this regard.

According to the Canadian newspaper “National Post”, the wife of an Ottawa pediatrician stated in court in April 2023 that her ex-partner’s new relationship posed a danger to their children. His new partner is a “high-ranking personality who attracts media attention and poses significant security concerns.”

Marital crisis in the past

Although no name was given, it has now been confirmed that it is Sophie Grégoire, reports the National Post. In that case, Sophie Grégoire would have been in a new relationship in April, months before she and Justin Trudeau officially announced their separation. So far, the 48-year-old has not commented on the speculation.

Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire met when they were children and the two tied the knot in 2005. The ex-couple had already made it public in the past that they were struggling with challenges in their marriage. After there were cheating rumors about the 52-year-old nine years ago – which he denied at the time – he admitted that there were difficult ups and downs in the relationship.
