NEW YORK – “There will be riots, fire and bloodshed”. This is the welcome that the movement Black Lives Matter gave to the new mayor of New York Eric Adams, after he met with the group’s leaders to explain his plans to curb the ongoing crime wave. A threat, which demonstrates how difficult it will be to find a balance even within the black community itself, between the most extreme positions of those who would like to completely abolish the police, as tried to do in Minneapolis, and those who would rather reform it.
