North Korea, Kim Jong-un admits “a tense food situation”

The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, admits a “tense” food situation in the country, due to the damage caused by the passage of the typhoon and the Covid-19 pandemic. Kim spoke at the plenary session of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party – of which he is at the top as general secretary – during which he praised North Korea’s economic improvements, while highlighting a “series of deviations” in bringing state plans have been completed, and several “obstacles and difficulties” that North Korea faces.
