Sadly, many are reluctant to undergo mental health tests from medical personnel such as psychiatrists or psychiatric specialists. One reason is because of costs. In fact, you can check with a psychiatrist using the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS).

Because, BPJS Health is a national health insurance program provided by the Indonesian government to ensure public access to affordable and quality health services. This program includes mental health services, including psychiatric services.

Make sure you have an active BPJS Health membership card to go to the first level health facility (faskes) that is your membership referral.

Register with the aim of being examined at the Mental Health Clinic and you can enjoy consultation services with a psychologist or psychiatrist.

However, if the first health facility for your BPJS service does not have a Mental Clinic, you can go to the General Poly and tell all the complaints and mental symptoms you are experiencing to the general practitioner concerned. they will give a referral to a second level health facility that has a Mental Health Clinic.

Prepare important documents for registering at the advanced health facility, including a photocopy of your KTP, a photocopy of the Healthy Indonesia Card/BPJS, a photocopy of your family card, and a reference letter for registering at Poly Jiwa at the second health facility.

After the administration process is complete, you can consult with a psychologist or psychiatrist at the hospital according to the queue number.

You need to know that the referral letter given by the first health facility has a validity period of up to 3 months.

This means that if your mental health case still requires treatment for more than three months, we can request a return visit to the same level one health facility.
