Chelsea’s 2023/2024 season has been characterized by high peaks and deep valleys. Only a few days ago, Pochettino’s side produced a strong performance despite losing in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City, a team they have drawn against twice during the Premier League season.

Tuesday’s 0-5 defeat against Arsenal left a bad taste in the mouth of Chelsea boss Pochettino.

– It is difficult to accept this result and this performance. It’s not nice to see your team play like this from the start. It’s hard to explain, but we were out of it right from the start. When we conceded the third goal it felt like we gave up completely, said Pochettino at the press conference after the match.

The Argentine is calling for more stability from his crew.

– When we have a bad day, we are very bad. When we have a good day, however, we are capable of anything. I’m disappointed with today’s performance, but I’m not going to say anything unfair to the players. We can’t blame them, continued the Chelsea coach.
