On the 27th, Oriental Land, which operates Tokyo Disney Resort (TDR) in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, released to the press an overview and model of the new area “Fantasy Springs” that will open in June at Tokyo DisneySea (TDS). Several new videos introducing the event have also been posted on the video site YouTube.
The theme of the new area is “a world of Disney fantasy led by magical springs.” There will be three sections: “Frozen Kingdom,” “Rapunzel’s Forest,” and “Peter Pan’s Neverland.” Each represents the world of the Disney movies “Frozen,” “Rapunzel,” and “Peter Pan.”
The attractions are structured to follow the movie through boat rides, etc. Visitors can enjoy the story of Anna and Elsa in the Frozen Kingdom, the Lantern Festival in Rapunzel’s Forest, and the adventures in Peter Pan’s Neverland.
Two new hotels have also been constructed: the deluxe type “Fantasy Chateau” (419 rooms) and the luxury type “Grand Chateau” (56 rooms). The new area will have a total area of approximately 140,000 square meters, with an investment of 320 billion yen.
