The new season of “Paradise Hotel” has given record numbers to the streaming service Viaplay.
Season 16 is now the most watched “Paradise Hotel” premiere ever, measured in unique users. That is almost ten percent up on the previous record season in 2021. The season is also the most watched reality series on Viaplay, measured in the number of unique users after one day.
– It’s so crazy that when we’ve gone all out and announced that “Pærra” is back, we’ll be able to prove exactly that. We are so incredibly grateful that the viewers we lost don’t hold a grudge because we took a detour to a more politically correct hotel, says program director at Viaplay, Anine Johansen.
– The fans are back, and we have recruited more. It could not have gone better, and this was something that we at Viaplay really needed after the six months we have now put behind us, adds Johansen.
After two seasons with “Paradise” and different rules of the game, Viaplay decided to return to the original “Paradise Hotel” concept before this year’s season. It is Triana Iglesias and Andreas “Tix” Haukeland who lead the program.
