It was only last autumn that the doctors informed them that the cancer had no longer metastasized in Patrice’s body. They then assumed that she would only have to take tablets for a few more months and “then you can dance Lambada again and enjoy life to the fullest,” says Aminati.

About five weeks ago, the disillusionment came: According to new findings, Patrice had metastases in her lungs. “Infusion and radiation therapy are now in full swing and are hitting with considerable force,” he wrote.
In April last year, Aminati canceled an upcoming reading tour to be there for his sick wife. In his message on Tuesday, he let his fans know how he felt after the new diagnosis: “I screamed so much, I cursed God.”
At the same time, Aminati also appealed to his viewers to see the deeper meaning behind dramatic events. Because these could also release strength and hope. The former singer of the band Bed & Breakfast also emphasized his firm belief that his family will get through this difficult time well. “I know that the tears of fear of the last few weeks will be tears of joy in a year at the latest.”
