Starting this Monday, February 5, in the capital of the department of Antioquia, new mobility regulations will begin to apply for peak and license plate restrictions in the city. The measures, which will apply from Monday to Friday from 5:00 in the morning to 8:00 at night, will be pedagogical until next Friday, February 9, so from Monday, February 12, the regulations will be sanctioning.
After the changes applied, the authorities announced that the number from the last semester of last year will not be repeated and, in addition, the license plate restriction days from the last two years will be taken into account. This is how the peak and license plate looked in Medellín for the first half of this year, which includes cars, motorcycles, taxis, campers, motocars and ATVs:

How much is the fine for violating the license plate?
According to the National Traffic Code, drivers of private vehicles who violate the peak and license plate restrictions will receive a fine of up to 15 current legal daily minimum wages, that is, $650,000, added to the costs of immobilizing the vehicle.
Please note, however, that El Río Road System (South Highway, Regional Avenue and Parallel Avenue), Las Palmas Avenue, 33rd Avenue (from the river to its connection with Las Palmas), 10th Street (from the river to the Terminal del Sur and its connection with the Enrique Olaya Herrera airport), the sides of the La Iguaná ravine (between Carreras 63 and 80), the northern road of the Horacio Toro bridge and other towns in Medellín are exempt of the restrictions.
