Police shoot (and kill) a man who was holding a plastic fork

(LaPresse) The Los Angeles Police Department has released body cam footage in which an officer is seen shooting and killing a man who was holding a plastic fork (in the video we are publishing the crudest parts have been removed ).
The incident occurred Feb. 3 in downtown Los Angeles, when police were alerted to a man, later identified as Jason Lee Maccani, 36, of Camarillo, who had entered a warehouse with what appeared to be a stick and that he had started to “become aggressive”.
But what appeared to be a stick or – according to what the officers reported – a knife, later turned out to be a white plastic fork.
The officers who intervened had a heated confrontation with him: first blank bullets were fired, then one of the officers opened fire, causing fatal injuries to the man.
