OAB Santa Catarina, through its State Commission for Women Lawyers and its Commission to Combat Violence and Victim Rights, hereby expresses its position regarding the demonstrations against speaker Cíntia Chagas, during the IV National Conference for Women Lawyers , held on March 14th and 15th, in Curitiba/PR.
Democracy brings with it the understanding that it is our right to speak and be heard, regardless of the political side or whether we agree with the person or not.
It is in this direction that we must follow, knowing that we have the right to do whatever we want, including not listening, if that is the choice.
During the IV National Conference of Women Lawyers and in our daily lives, the Order fights daily for freedom, so that each person can occupy as many spaces as they want and be whatever they want.
Therefore, OAB Santa Catarina, through its Commissions and on behalf of all women lawyers in Santa Catarina, expresses the request that our maximum always be respect and empathy towards ours.
