Prince Harry is in London to visit his father Charles. He landed around lunchtime. In the aftermath of the news that King Charles has cancer, the Duke of Sussex was seen arriving at a private terminal in Los Angeles where he boarded a flight to Britain. It is the first time Harry has seen his father since his coronation ceremony in May last year
Prince Harry left alone for London, as reported by the BBC, according to which the Duke of Sussex’s wife, Meghan, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, remained in the United States. The visit, underlines the BBC, opens up hope of reconciliation within the Royal Family after the tensions between Harry on the one hand and Charles and William on the other. Prince Harry spoke to his father on Monday.
King Charles spent the night at home after starting outpatient cancer treatment. The BBC reports it. Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that the 75-year-old British monarch has been diagnosed with the disease identified during his recent hospital treatment for a benign enlargement of the prostate. The type of tumor diagnosed by the king was not specified, and he was advised to postpone public commitments. King Charles will however continue to carry out state duties and weekly meetings with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will continue. According to the BBC, Prince William will cover some commitments on his behalf.
