PSSI Tuban Opens Registration for Women’s Football Club, Here’s the Schedule

Tubankab – The management of the Tuban Regency PSSI Association has opened registration for clubs and women’s football players in the local area.
The registration began after the PSSI Tuban Ordinary Congress was held on April 21 2024 until July 31 2024.
Chairman of PSSI Tuban, Budi Sulistyono, said that opening registration was one of the first steps in efforts to develop women’s football in Tuban Regency. “Registration requirements are age-free and free of charge,” said Budi, Monday (22/04).
The hope is that with the existence of this women’s football club, young women who have interests and talents can be accommodated and facilitated. So in the future, if there are many clubs, PSSI Tuban can hold a women’s special league competition.
Meanwhile, Exco PSSI Tuban, Tri Astuti added, as a woman who is a member of the executive committee at PSSI Tuban, she wants to elevate and popularize women’s football.
Astuti, who is also a member of the Tuban DPRD, believes that the climate for women’s football needs to be improved so that in the future there will be clubs or women’s football players from Tuban who can excel at regional, national or even international levels.
According to him, women’s football has a pretty good opportunity to be developed as a prestigious sport in Tuban. The reason is that currently there are still very few regions that have women’s football clubs. Even at the national level, there is no official competition held by PSSI.
“We hope that in the future, when there are more women’s football clubs, there will be competitions or leagues launched as a forum for developing athletes’ potential,” he said.
Astuti appealed to young women in Tuban who are interested in becoming female soccer athletes to register. Registration is age-limited and free. (achmad choirudin/hey)
