MOSCOW – The troika of the autocrats is recomposed. The presidents of Russia, Turkey and Iran will meet in Tehran. July 19 Vladimir Putin, Recep-Tayyip Erdogan ed Ibrahim Raisi will participate, the Kremlin spokesman said Dmitry Peskov, at “a summit of the heads of state guarantors of the peace process in Syria”. It is the return of the so-called “Astana format” launched in 2017 in Kazakhstan to resolve the conflict that has ravaged Syria since 2011 but, “in addition to this tripartite meeting, there will also be a meeting” between Putin and Erdogan, Peskov continued.
