RENAULT GROUP The Sandouville plant will produce electric commercial vehicles for Flexis SAS – Companies

Groupe Renault has assigned the Sandouville plant to produce the revolutionary generation of electric commercial vehicles for Flexis SAS (Renault Group, Volvo Group and CMA CGM).

For the occasion, Luca de Meo, CEO of the Renault Group, and Thierry Charvet, Industrial and Quality Director of the Renault Group, welcomed Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, to the Norman site, and Édouard Philippe, mayor of Le Havre and President of the urban community Le Havre Seine Métropole. The latter met the employees on the assembly line and welcomed the industrialization of the new project in France and the news of the hiring of 550 people over the next four years.

Building on the know-how and skills acquired in the production of commercial vehicles for a decade now, the Sandouville plant has been chosen for the industrialization, by 2026, of a new generation of electric vans. This decision completes Groupe Renault’s commercial vehicle industrial ecosystem strongly rooted in France with three factories: Maubeuge (Kangoo), Sandouville (Trafic) and Batilly (Master). The Sandouville site has produced over 1,000,000 Trafics for the Renault brand and its partners, in all the variety of versions, from flatbed cabs to Trafic SpaceClass.
