Monitoring detikcom on Jalan Tugu Raya, precisely in front of SMPN 8, Cimanggis, Depok, Tuesday (12/3/2024), at 16.50 WIB, various kinds of tents of traders selling takjil were seen starting to be ‘enveloped’ by residents.
It was so crowded that residents found it difficult to walk because of the crowds of buyers. The takjil sold at this location varies, such as serabi, fried foods, lemang, kolak, and various ices.

There are also those selling gudeg, chicken satay, and side dishes typical of Padang restaurants. The parking lot near the location was full of vehicles. Because almost every minute residents arrive, the result is that traffic on Jalan Tugu Raya is affected by traffic jams.
One of the residents, Fitri (29), said that Takjil Timah Market is popular with takjil hunters. Because, there is a variety of food there.
“Every year, lots of people come here to buy takjil, fried food. There are lots of choices of food here too,” he said when met. detikcomTuesday (12/3).
Fitri said that traffic jams and crowds of people hunting for takjil had become commonplace. According to him, this is typical of the month of Ramadan.
“There’s nothing wrong with traffic jams, everyone is used to fasting. If not, you won’t get the specialty, the characteristic is that crowds of people buy takjil,” he said.
