With around 7,500 participants, one of the largest company runs in all of Austria was held this evening at the Raiffeisen Business Run Graz 2024.

The spectacular five-kilometer route took the runners and walkers from Karmeliterplatz right through the beautiful city center of Graz.

Lots of highlights

The motivated runners and walkers got this, among other things, on the attractive circuit Paulustorthe Karl Franzens Universitätthe Stadtparkthe Domthe Burgtor and the Hilmteich to see.

In addition to an individual ranking for runners and walkers, there was also the traditional one Team ranking, where a student team competition was even offered. A team consisted of three runners. The times of the three participants were added together. The winner was the team with the lowest overall time.

So many strong runners that even Austria’s fastest runner has no chance

Since many of Austria’s strongest runners traditionally take part in the Graz business run, the best teams achieve times of around 45 minutes, which results in a speed of 20 km/h over a distance of 3 x 5 kilometers.

Last year there was Markus Hartinger, Markus Bretterklieber, Jürgen Aigner, Felix Geieregger, Mario Bauernfeind and Julius Ott even six runners who broke the 15-minute mark. In the top-class field, that was enough Mario Bauernfeind He only came in 5th and he was, after all, the fastest marathon runner in all of Austria last year.

The elite field was similarly strong at the Raiffeisen Business Run on April 25, 2024.
