The Peruvian singer Ruby Palomino spoke out on her social networks, after performing at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater this Sunday, February 25. In the first round of the Folklore Competition of the LXIII Viña del Mar International Song Festival, the national representative debuted with the lowest score, despite her outstanding performance.

The performer of “Song for a sad planet” received 5 points from María Becerra, 5 points from Young Cister, 5 points from Coni Santamaría, 4 points from Ale Sergi de Miranda! and 4 points from Alejandro Chávez. The virtual jury rated it 5.6 points. On average, Ruby Palomino achieved 4.8 points, ranking last on the list of participants.

The representative of Mexico, Yaneth Sandoval, conquered the jury and won over the other talented contestants with 5.8 points on average. They were followed by Ahyre from Argentina, with 5.6 points; Enrique Ramil from Spain with 5.6 points; Charly Benavente from Chile with 5.5 points; and Eddy Valenzuela from Mexico with 5.4 points. All of them beat the Peruvian in the first round.

Through her social networks, Ruby Palomino was optimistic despite the low rating received in her debut at the Viña del Mar Festival. With a wide smile, the Peruvian singer asked her followers to continue voting for her in her second performance, maintaining hoping to advance to the next phase of the competition.

“My Peruvian people, brothers, thank you. We have come out high in the virtual vote, I think we are still in the race. I will sing again, so everyone pay attention. And again, thank you very much, I carry you in my heart. My beloved Peru, present in Viña del Mar 2024″, she expressed.

Ruby Palomino will perform for the second time at the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater next Tuesday, December 27.
