Russia’s TikTok blockade hasn’t stopped pro-war propaganda

The blocking of TikTok, a social network owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, for the publication of new videos and content live from Russia does not seem to have stopped Russian propaganda on the platform. Indeed, it has created a vacuum for Russian users that Moscow-backed accounts are filling by bypassing restrictions. “In a more discreet way, without communicating it on their official website, TikTok has in fact disabled 95% of the contents of the accounts that connect from Russia”, he explains Salvatore Romanocoordinator of the research team of Tracking Exposed.
