Regarding the impact of the reform on Colombian women, the President highlighted that it seeks to guarantee a pension for all of them, including housewives. He detailed that starting in July 2025, women will be able to retire with 1,250 weeks of contributions, with the possibility of gradually reducing this requirement until reaching 1,000 weeks in 2035. In addition, they will be able to use the child bonus, which increases significantly the probability of pension for them.
Finally, the president invited all Colombians to participate in the May Day mobilizations, highlighting the importance of tranquility and joy on this day. The invitation includes participation in the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá and in all the squares of the municipalities of the country.
