Sanremo 2024, does Alfa spoil the song just before the start?

Sanremo 2024, does Alfa spoil the song just before the start?

We don’t even have time to start when there is already talk of “questionable” episodes in Sanremo. After the one relating to Fiorella Mannoia and an alleged blasphemy of her (which never actually existed), now there is one concerning Alfa, the young singer from Genoa. Let’s proceed in order. A few hours before the start of the first episode of the Sanremo Festival – yesterday Tuesday 6 February – a ‘case’ was opened: the one relating to the alleged spoiler by Alfa of the song it brought to the competition in Sanremo, entitled “Go !” . For a few seconds, in fact, Alfa sang a song, then published the video on Instagram and wrote: “Before it comes out, I’ll turn off the audio, see you tonight”. But the audio of the song was there. Any song or just the one from Sanremo?

There are those who have spoken of “disqualification”, since this occurred shortly before the episode began. But none of this is founded. Although the words are the same as the Sanremo song, in reality the melody is different. In short, it is not the Sanremo song. TO FQMagazinethe press office announced that “it’s a joke, it’s not the song in the competition“. So, much ado about nothing? That’s right. But someone “hoped so“: “Let’s hope 8-9 other singers in the competition do it so maybe we can all go to bed by 1 am”, wrote the ironic page “Why the fuck is it trending”. Rather, there is another issue that concerns “Go!”. More than someone has noticed a certain similarity between Alfa’s single and One Republic’s “Run”. “Does Alfa like One Republic?“, asked a user on Twitter (or X), suggesting that there is more than one thing in common. And yet other very similar comments: “The sound is copied”, “Clearly the copy of ‘Run'”, “It’s identical and they have the same title in different languages”. In short, Almost 24 hours have passed and the first dynamics around the musical event have already arisen. Musical yes, but not only. After all, we know, this is Sanremo. And “Sanremo is loved”. At the moment the singer has not commented on the story relating to the plagiarism accusations made by some viewers.
