A gigantic fire broke out at a Saudi Aramco oil site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the Formula 1 Grand Prix is held this weekend. The Saudi-led military coalition denounced a missile attack in the south of the country by the Huthi rebels from Yemen who claimed it. Online videos show the flames raging from the depot. Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed it was an attack by their fighters. Friday’s videos arrived as rehearsals continued with the large cloud of black smoke seen in the distance.
The state-owned oil company of Saudi Arabia and the state media did not immediately recognize the incident. However, it comes days after a similar attack on a Jeddah oil depot. The Al-Masirah satellite channel also claimed that the fire was caused by an attack.
