Saying he found no fraud, Election Guard announces Prabowo winner of presidential election — BenarNews Indonesia

The Kawal Pemilu monitoring agency on Tuesday (12/3) stated that the results of their presidential election calculations showed that Prabowo Subianto emerged as the winner in the 2024 elections.

The Election Supervisor also said there was no indication of fraud that benefited any of the presidential and vice presidential candidates (capres-cawapres) after the voting.

The independent institution said that 82.27% of the C1 forms uploaded had been completed or 677,413 polling stations (TPS) out of a total of 823,366. As a result, the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair, Minister of Defense Prabowo and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, won with 58.44% or 78.7 million votes.

Meanwhile, the pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar were in second place with 25.05% or 33.7 million votes. Then pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD, finished last with 16.51% or 22.2 million votes.

“With the results of the vote count real count Monitoring the 2024 Election, there is still 17.3% TPS coverage remaining. “However, it will not change the results of the preliminary calculation,” explained Election Supervisory Committee in his press statement, Tuesday.

“Therefore, we congratulate candidate pair 02 who won one round by more than 50% in the 2024 presidential election.”

However, Kawal Pemilu said that the 2024 democracy party would be the worst on record because they completed fewer counts than the previous two elections.

In the 2014 and 2019 elections, respectively, TPS coverage reported by Kawal Pemilu reached 99.76% and 82.27%.

No authority to investigate allegations of fraud before the election

The Election Guard also dismissed the issue of alleged fraud after the election took place.

“From this research, we did not find any indication of structured, systematic and massive post-election fraud (TSM) that benefited one of the candidate pairs,” he said.

Ainun Najib, founder of Kawal Pemilu, said his agency did not have the authority to investigate allegations of fraud before the election.

“It’s not the scope of Kawal Pemilu (to examine indications of fraud before and during voting day), because we can only collect vote counting results from photo C1,” he said to BenarNews.

Ainun said the lower reports from each TPS occurred mainly because the C1 photos from the General Election Commission (KPU) sirekap application were not 100% complete. Even though the Election Guard really relies on it scan KPU official for remote areas where there are no people to upload the C1 form.

“In the two previous elections, the C1 scan from the KPU was almost 100% complete,” he said.

To date, Election Monitoring has recorded that 6,221 TPS were miscounted by the KPU, including 656 TPS that experienced disputes, 4,359 wrong inputs, and 222 wrong TPS.

Representative figures

National Research and Innovation Agency researcher Wasisto Raharjo Jati said the C1 form figure of 82% of polling stations was a large number to see the election results.

“I think this is representative in looking at the results of the presidential election because that figure has passed more than 50%, which is the psychological threshold regarding the electability of presidential and vice-presidential candidates,” he said to BenarNews

Political analyst from Jenderal Soedirman University, Indaru Setyo Nurprojo, said the same thing.

“If the data entered has reached 82.27% of the polling stations, then the votes that have not been received will not affect the counting results,” said Indaru to BenarNews

Jeirry Sumampow, Coordinator of the Indonesian Voters Committee, a non-governmental organization, said the lack of public participation in reporting election results occurred due to several factors.

First, this happened because the public felt satisfied with the results of a number of survey institutions’ quick counts.

Second, because disputes occurred at the polling stations, which hampered the reporting of election results. Third, people are lazy about uploading the C1 form because they think there is a lot of fraud in the implementation of elections.

“Just 82% participation means there is something wrong at the bottom (in the implementation of the election),” he explained to BenarNews

Question the Election Guard

Jeirry questioned why the Election Guard did not find any indication of fraud after the voting.

“After the election there was also a lot of fraud. Kok instead they didn’t find any fraud? “In fact, it’s more obvious that there was fraud after the big day. Because it was related to voting arrangements,” he said.

Apart from that, said Jeirry, there were also many reports of fraud before the election. The forms include intimidation of state civil servants and their families to vote for certain candidates and mobilization through state apparatus to win certain candidates.

“We also received reports in Sumatra, Sulawesi, Bali, that social assistance distribution was distributed only two days before the election,” he said.

Amnesty International Executive Director Usman Hamid, one of 50 figures who wrote to political party leaders to roll out the right to inquiry in the DPR, said the same thing.

“So it wasn’t just during the voting on February 14 2024, even the KPU’s vote counting process that showed many irregularities or oddities,” said Usman to BenarNews

However, he still respects the conclusions of the Election Guard.

According to Usman, among the general public and student activists, protest actions have begun to develop to reject election fraud. If it gets bigger, this will weaken the people’s enthusiasm to elect and welcome their new leaders and representatives.

“That’s why, there is no other choice, we have to save the situation by implementing the DPR RI’s right to inquiry,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Deputy Legal Deputy for the National Winning Team, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, Henry Yosodiningrat, said that PDIP was ready to bring a number of pieces of evidence and witnesses to the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the lawsuit regarding the results of the 2024 Presidential Election after the KPU.

Henry revealed that one of the witnesses was a regional police chief (kapolda).

According to him, in the lawsuit to the Constitutional Court, his party did not focus on the difference in votes for candidate pair number 03 Ganjar-Mahfud and the winning candidate candidate announced by the KPU. However, we will focus on cheating that falls into the TSM category.

“We have very strong data and evidence,” said Henry in his statement, Monday (11/3) as quoted by CNN Indonesia.

Henry confirmed allegations of mass mobilization not to exercise the right to vote in Sragen Regency, Central Java, so that voter participation was quite low, around 30%.

He also said that the results of the 2024 elections had been designed and planned by the authorities, starting with Gibran being forced to run as vice presidential candidate even though he did not meet the age requirements, so that the Constitutional Court, which at that time was chaired by Jokowi’s brother-in-law, changed the age requirements for presidential/vice presidential candidates to smooth Gibran’s steps.

“Here it looks like everything was planned, Jokowi intervened in the law and law enforcement,” he concluded.
