Scholz brakes on the “fast track” for Ukraine in the EU

The European Union must close ranks and continue on the path of enlargement, but also “coordinate more on defense”. In an address to the Bundestag, the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz praised the European unity underlined that “the greater the pressure from outside, the greater the internal unity”. And in these hours, the combative Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Andrij Melnyk, has explicitly asked that Germany and France favor peace talks with Kiev and Moscow.
