The Seewiese is a snack bar like no other. Located in the most beautiful spot in Ausseerland, on the shore of Lake Altausseer with a wonderful view of the Loser and the Dachstein. On Maundy Thursday, March 28th, 2024, the Seewiese Jausenstation starts the new season.

Friedrich Torberg raved about the “most beautiful cul-de-sac in the world”. And how right he was. The Seewiese is a unique place. Writers such as Torberg, Hugo von Hoffmannsthal, Arthur Schnitzler and many others were inspired to create masterpieces here. It is not for nothing that Lake Altaussee is nicknamed the “Styrian inkwell”.
