It was a very tense game between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahcethe third in the league hosted the second in the table.

Trabzonspor fans stormed the pitch and attacked the guests’ players. They, in turn, defended themselves, such as the Belgian Michy Batshuayiwho tried to knock down a young man with a leg kick. Bright Osayi-Samuel, who played for Queens Park Rangers for many years, leaned over two fans and struck several times. Ultimately, players and referees fled to the dressing rooms.
Turkish football has recently made negative headlines with violent incidents. Last year, referee Halil Umut Meler was attacked after a game. Meler now also led the game in Trabzon. Fenerbahçe is in second place in the Süper Lig with 79 points after 30 match days and still has a chance of winning the championship, two points behind league leaders Galatasaray. Trabzonspor, in third place, is already 30 points behind Fenerbahçe.
