A man opened fire at a busy nightclub in Houston, Texas. Two men were killed and two others were injured in the shooting. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said investigators are trying to confirm whether the assailant was among the victims, shot dead by an off-duty deputy sheriff who worked at the club’s security. The club, Finner said, was “very busy” and dark inside. One man was hospitalized in critical condition while the other was in stable condition, Finner said. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that several of his deputies were working off duty at the club’s security and that at least one of them shot the gunman. No officers were injured in the shooting.
