This weekend, Lillehammer Ski Club invited Randonee to the NM and Scandinavian Randonee Championships, and two Surnadals got a podium place.

There was a battle for second place towards the end in the NM in Randonee sprint between Aron Rodal Haugen and Erik Kårvatn. It was Hans-Inge Klette who took the victory, with the two surnadals right behind. In the end it was Erik Kårvatn who ran away with second place, with Aron Rodal Haugen, who is a junior, just 1.04 seconds behind. The sprint was broadcast on NRK TV. See recording her.

Aron Rodal Haugen tells NRK after the sprint that it is great fun to come third in the senior. Erik Kårvatn continues by saying that he was a little lucky with the second position, but that it is “guess that it worked out”.

On Saturday there was an individual competition and Erik Kårvatn (senior), Steinar Johansen Aarvåg (senior) and Aron Rodal Haugen (U18) stood on the starting line from Trollheimen mountain sports club. Aron won his class, while Erik came in 5th place and Steinar in 7th place in the senior class. This printer Trollheimen mountain sports club on its Facebook page.
