“Simpsons” character Larry dies – an obituary for the quiet reveler – culture

With us, Larry would have spent his days drinking mirrors at the Branntweiner or in the Tschocherl. No matter what time of day or night you enter the Tranklerhütte, Larry is always there, staring sadly at his beer with a sad look in his eyes. In Springfield in the TV series The Simpsons Larry always sits next to his drinking buddy Sam in Moe’s tavern. He’s been doing this since January 1990 and the episode The Loser (Homer’s Odyssey) from the first season that started in the USA at the end of 1989. The Simpsons have only been running in a German dubbed version since 1991.
