For the first time, South Korea will receive flights from Swiss International Air Lines
Swiss International Air Lines will make its debut in the South Korean market, starting on May 7th.
The airline will offer direct flights from Zurich (ZRH) to Seoul (ICN) on three weekly frequencies using the Airbus A340-300, with capacity for up to 215 passengers in four classes. Departures from Switzerland will be in the afternoon, while those from Incheon Airport will be in the morning.
South Korea is the Swiss’ fourth largest trading partner in Asia. “We will add the extremely attractive destination of Seoul to our Asian network in the (European) summer of 2024. South Korea’s capital has a lot to offer leisure and business travelers,” said Heike Birlenbach, Commercial Director at Swiss.
In September 2023, the Lufthansa Group airline had already announced the debut of direct flights to two other destinations: Toronto (YYZ), in Canada, and Washington (IAD), in the United States.
