Spanish national team achieve less than optimal results when meeting Colombia in a trial match. La Furia Roja narrowly lost 0-1.
Spain vs Colombia held at the London Olympic Stadium, Saturday (23/3/2024) early morning WIB. Spain fielded David Raya between the sticks and gave Daniel Vivian his debut.

Joselu was installed as the sole striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation supported by Mikael Oryazabal, Gerard Moreno and Pablo Sarabia.
Despite playing dominantly, Spain had difficulty creating opportunities in front of the Colombian goal. Their attacks were more often raw against Colombia’s solid back line.
Spain’s attacks were mostly carried out from the wing occupied by Alejandro Grimaldo on the left and Pedro Porro on the right. Until halftime, the score remained 0-0.
Entering the second half, Spain increased the intensity of their attacks. However, it was Colombia who broke the deadlock in the 61st minute through Daniel Munoz.
Starting from Luis Diaz who stabbed from the left side, the cross ball was given to the far post and Munoz, who was unmarked, welcomed it with a volley into the corner of Alex Remiro’s goal.

Behind 0-1, Spain continued to pressure Colombia to get a goal. Alvaro Morata, Nico Williams, Alex Baena and Lamine Yamal played. but still unable to endanger Camilo Vargas’ goal.
Until the match ended, Spain could not score a goal and had to lose with a score of 0-1. This was Spain’s first defeat in more than a year after being beaten by Scotland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Colombia continued its unbeaten record in 20 consecutive matches after last losing to Argentina in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
Spain will meet Brazil at the Santiago Bernabeu on March 26, Colombia will meet Romania at the same time.
