30th anniversary: Spice Girls reunification could happen in 2024

Former Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown aka “Mel B” announced on the show “Loose Women” that the girl group was going to make its return to the stage. This announcement comes as the group celebrated its 30th anniversary on Tuesday March 5, 2024, reports “BFMTV“. The band also shared a post on their Instagram account marking the occasion.

It was written in the Instagram post that their adventure in the world of music took a turn they could never have predicted: “Today marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Spice Girls auditions! What started in 1994 has turned into an incredible journey, far beyond anything we could have imagined. Thank you to our fans for the support from day one.”
While Mel B came to testify about domestic violence on the show, she couldn’t help but reinforce the reunification rumor. “We are going to do something together for the 30th anniversary. I’m probably going to get yelled at for what I just said, but I said it,” she said.

However, they have already met on certain occasions. The singers performed on stage in 2012, during the London Olympic Games. It is therefore not impossible that they will reform the group again. Mel B had already hinted in the press at the end of December 2023 that a Spice Girls reunion was planned for 2024. In addition, a musical project would be in preparation.
