The National University of Engineering (UNI) is carrying out its 2024-II admission process, which consists of taking three exams to reach one of the 1,533 vacancies offered by the higher education institution. However, in December, there was an admission process that was based on taking only one test and was aimed only at fifth-year high school students.
It is in this modality that the 17-year-old young man named Dylan entered the Textile Engineering career. It was the first time he applied. In a viral interview on YouTube, the young man surprised by revealing the study method he used to gain admission.
What study technique did Dylan use to get into UNI?
The 17-year-old young man was interviewed for the YouTube channel Academias Grupo Ciencias, in which he indicated that for him the study technique is “a way in which you can study effectively and knowing that it will give you results, as long as when you make an effort or do your part.
Although for some the ideal is to be silent and begin to solve the exercises, in his case that did not work for him. “I put on headphones, listened to music that I liked and tried to solve the exercises that the teacher did, but in my own way,” Dylan explained. This was the effective way for the student to solve mathematical problems.

It should be noted that, before finding his study technique, Dylan investigated various careers and after deciding which one he wanted, he made a drastic decision: “I talked to my mother and told her: ‘Take me out of school and put me in this academy.’ “I already know what I want.”
Following this, he specified that he enrolled in the special school modality of an academy, which, although it has a higher cost, was what he wanted. So he dedicated a whole year to studying and solving exercises. Although he managed to enter UNI on his first attempt, he said that he has decided to reserve a vacancy for one cycle and will prepare in the academy for a while longer, since he considered that he is not yet prepared to take university courses.
When will the UNI 2024-II admission exam be held?
The UNI 2024-II admission exam consists of three exams: academic aptitude and humanities (February 12); mathematics (February 14); and physics and chemistry (February 16). There are more than 5,000 applicants who aspire to obtain one of the 1,533 vacancies offered by the higher education institution.
