PolrestabSurabaya – Polrestabes Surabaya is preparing anticipatory steps to secure the BRI League 1 football match.

The match will pit Persebaya against PSIS Semarang at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Tuesday 30 January 2024.

A total of 2,665 joint TNI, Polri and City Government personnel will carry out security for the ball.

Surabaya Police Chief Commissioner Pasma Royce through Kabagops AKBP Wibowo said that his party had confirmed the readiness of the security officers who would be involved.

“We have ensured the readiness of security personnel when we hold the coordination meeting to create security and comfort for the spectators and maintain the smooth running of the match,” said AKBP Wimboko, Tuesday (30/1).

Apart from the presence of TNI and Polri personnel in security, the Surabaya Police are also working with stadium security officers and stewards to increase supervision in every corner of the match area.

This effort is made so that there are no gaps for people who intend to disturb the orderly running of the match.

Separately, Kasihumas Polrestabes Surabaya AKP Haryoko Widhi appealed to football fans to continue to obey the rules and instructions from police officers and the match committee while at the stadium location.

Haryoko also said that dangerous items such as flares, firecrackers, fireworks, weapons, drugs and alcohol are prohibited from entering the stadium.

“Tickets for the match will be sold by the Panpel after the Coordination Meeting. For football fans who don’t have tickets, we urge you to watch TV, it will be broadcast live on private TV.
“concluded Haryoko.”
