The provisional toll of armed clashes that have been going on for hours in north-eastern Syria around a prison run by the Kurdish-Syrian forces and where thousands of ISIS militiamen are locked up, rises to at least 41 killed. This was reported by the National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria, according to which the clashes are still ongoing near the Ghweiran prison, in the north-eastern region of Hasake. US military helicopters fly over the area in search of the approximately 80 fugitives, says the Observatory, which uses a dense network of local sources.
