Taiwan adds 60,103 new confirmed cases of new crown, 109 new deaths
Xinhua News Agency, Taipei, May 30. The Taiwan Epidemic Command Center announced on the 30th that there were 60,103 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, including 60,042 local cases and 61 imported cases. Among the confirmed cases, 109 new deaths were added.
The command center stated that the new local cases were 28,755 males, 31,273 females, and 14 under investigation, aged between under 5 years old and over 90 years old.
The command center said that the new deaths that day were 70 males and 39 females, aged in their 40s to over 90 years old, and 43 of them were not vaccinated against the new crown. There were 468 new cases of moderate and severe cases on the same day.
The command center announced that the current epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks will be maintained until June 30. Regarding the relaxation of entry quarantine measures at the airport, the command center stated that it is currently planning to shorten the number of quarantine days. In the future, the landing inspection may be completely changed to saliva PCR inspection.
According to statistics, as of now, there have been 1,952,355 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Taiwan, including 1,939,359 local cases.
