Teodora Bjelica revealed that she “became an actress by accident” and that during the two years she spent in Mexico City she hung out with telenovela stars

Teodora never wanted to confirm or deny this and always said that her mother, also the famous actress Gordana Bjelica, was both her father and mother. Teodora did not want to reveal her father’s identity even in her big life confession, but she admitted that she missed his presence.
“I missed my father’s figure when I was growing up, but my mother gave me enough love for both parents. I did not experience the fact that I did not grow up with my father as tragic. Her support meant a lot to me, both in life and in my career. I have no greater love and friends from her. I talk to her about everything I go through in my life and only she can understand me. “Mom didn’t want me to do acting because she knew both the good and the bad sides of that job, and frankly, I wasn’t attracted either. However, everything happened suddenly! I was 23 years old when my then-boyfriend signed me up for a casting for the movie “Afterparty”. I left, and 40 other girls were fighting for the role. I got it right away! After a few days, the director called me and told me that we will start shooting on July 10. I told him that I was going to the sea and that I would see you when I returned. The man was in shock. He said, “OK” and hung up. I had no idea how it all worked, I thought the recording could be moved when it suited me. Four hours later, his assistant called me and told me that they had been meeting for hours and that they had not been able to find a replacement for me, that they only wanted me! She told me to pull myself together, that it will always be there, but not the role. She asked me if I could postpone my vacation. I agreed, I apologized to them and we started filming,” said Teodora and added that she was totally relaxed during the filming, even though she had scenes where she was naked:
“I didn’t even know where the cameras were, I just tried to do everything right. I had scenes where I had to be topless, but it wasn’t a problem for me at all because before that I had taken pictures like that a thousand times for modeling. For for me, the naked body is art and a tool for work. If a scene requires me to take off my clothes, I’ll do it, it’s not scary for me.”

After the movie “Afterparty”, Bjelica left Serbia again because she did not receive offers for new roles for two years.

“I regret not meeting her in person. She is really beautiful, just like in the series. She is my favorite Latina actress and I promised myself that one day I would go back to Mexico to meet her. During my stay in that country, I received a scholarship for their acting academy, and at the same time an invitation from director Miloš Avramović to play in the second season of the series “South Wind”. I was thinking what to do, whether to go back or stay there. Considering the fact that I did not live in Serbia for ten years, that is, I only came for two months a year, I decided to accept the role and return to my hometown. Since then, my acting career has only been on the upswing!”.
Teodora says that she has no regrets about accepting the role in the crime-thriller directed by Miloš Avramović.

“The team on the set was professional. Well, everything was fantastic. Miodrag Radonjić and Miloš Avramović gave me the freedom to insert something into the scenes that was not according to the plan in the script. I have only good words for them. And there I had a scene I was topless and it wasn’t a problem for me to take off my clothes. I was bursting with confidence and in front of the cameras I behaved as if I was dressed from head to toe. It’s mentally very difficult and that’s why not everyone can do it – says Teodora and adds that the filming she advises about such scenes with her mother: “I consulted with my mother about freer shots. She positioned herself as a real professional, because she knows what art is and when something needs to be done for a role. She is aware that I didn’t do it to push myself somewhere and become famous.” “.

Shortly after that series, she starred in the film “Hotel Belgrade”, in which she shared the frame with Miloš Biković, Ljubo Bandović and Sofija Milošević. “One evening in November, we shot scenes in a convertible on the Brankovo bridge. There is a coffee shop nearby where Ljuba Bandović revealed to me the most beautiful medovača in the world. That brandy warmed us up! I especially needed it, because I was filming in a thin dress, even though it was very cold outside. I drank one medovača and continued to shoot with Ljuba all night.
