Texas student with gun and rifle arrested near a school

In the aftermath of the massacre at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, the police arrested – also in Texas – a student with an Ak-47 style pistol (the Kalashnikov) and an Ar-15 style rifle, the most used in US shootings. The arrest took place outside Richardson’s Berkner High School, 560km north of Uvalde. A witness who had seen a person with a rifle near the school alerted the police.

The weapons were found in his car. The young man was accused of carrying an illegal gun in a “weapon-free” school area.
