Cava Manara falls in Turbigo Landriano hopes for salvation

The second phase of the play-in closes with a (painless) defeat Sgr Cava Manara who, despite the usual great performance by Zandalasini (24 points), falls on the Turbigo parquet for 71-66.

A game that has always remained in the balance, with the hosts finding themselves at +2 at the long interval (35-33 at 20 ‘): the decisive breakthrough comes in the third fraction, when Turbigo moves to 55-47 at 30’ , then defending himself from Novabasket’s comeback attempts in the last ten minutes. Cava ends the second phase in fourth place, the last valid to qualify for the playoffs, while Turbigo is positioned in second, bypassing the Pro Vigevano, third. As for the play-outs, an important victory for Itelyum Landriano who keeps alive the limited hopes of saving themselves by beating the bottom of group D, Cusano Milanino, by 47-63. After a difficult start (16-8 inside at 10 ‘), the boys of coach Campagnoli overtake their opponents at the end of the first half (24-27), and then gradually increase the advantage and seal the pink scoresheet. Instead Cat Vigevano loses (still dry of victories in the championship) on the parquet of Rho for 84-63: in this case it is the fatal case of the second quarter, in which the Milanese team places a break of 18-8 which will already be decisive.
