The film about gay pilots, and a Ukrainian actor, which Russia has censored

LONDON – A film censored by Vladimir Putin, with a Ukrainian actor as the protagonist, is about to arrive in the West: it is called Firebird and tells a story inspired by real events in 1970 in Estonia. It is the story of the love that blossoms between two fighter pilots based in the small Baltic country, at the time when it was part of the Soviet Union.
