PARIS – The Maritime Police of Paris fined two British fishing vessels overnight during checks in French waters. According to the French minister of navigation Annick Girardin, one of the British boats was caught fishing in the Seine Bay without the necessary permits. The boat and its crew were escorted to the port of Le Havre by the maritime police, where the catch could be confiscated and the boat detained.
