The Turkish foreign ministry has summoned the Italian ambassador to Ankara, Giorgio Marrapodi, for a demonstration in favor of the Kurdish armed group PKK held in recent days in Rome. The Turkish media reported it.
In recent days it was the turn of the ambassadors of France, Greece and Germany, all summoned to the Ankara Foreign Ministry, to respond to protests and propaganda activities in favor of the separatists, underway in their respective countries.
According to what was announced by the Turkish state TV, TRT at the center of the call were the demonstrations in favor of the PKK and alleged support and propaganda activities in favor of the Kurdish separatists, included in the list of terrorist organizations of the European Union.
The Turkish government has recently vetoed the entry into NATO of Sweden and Finland on the basis of the asylum guaranteed to some Kurdish terrorists whose extradition Ankara is asking for and the support that the two Scandinavian countries would guarantee to PKK and YPG.
Demonstrations of solidarity with the PKK and YPG have multiplied throughout Europe in recent days, after the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced an imminent military operation in Northern Syria, aimed precisely at targeting YPG militiamen.
