Former figure skater Camilla Gjersem (30) has made a big impression in recent weeks in “Masters’ champion” on NRK.
The 30-year-old was until 2019 one of the country’s best in figure skating, but not alone. The twin sister, Anne Line Gjersem (30), was also often seen at the top, and the two have competed against each other for a number of years. But not in “Master of Masters”.

It was only Camilla who had the opportunity to participate in the 2024 season of the NRK success.
Has strengthened the relationship
Both Camilla and Anne Line have made a big impression on the ice rink. They both have several Norwegian championship titles, and the latter also represented Norway during the Olympics in Sochi in 2014.
One might think that it is somewhat challenging to compete against a sibling, but for the Gjersem twins, it has been an advantage to do the same, according to Camilla.

– It has only made our relationship stronger. We have been on a journey together and had a common goal to do well.
– And I don’t think we would have done so well if we didn’t have each other, she says to Nettavisen.
The “Champion of the Masters” participant says, among other things, that they have pushed each other all the way and learned from each other, which has made them both stronger and better on the ice. At the same time, they cheered each other on, and wished the other all the best.
– It has been very nice to lean on each other, she says.
Could not participate
Throughout, the twin sisters have done most things together. They have trained together and competed together, but neither of them became “Champion of Masters”.
It has a completely natural cause.
– Anne Line was pregnant, so it didn’t fit, explains Camilla.
– But it would have been great fun to be able to do it together, it would have been a little extra competition, she adds.
Anne Line Gjersem, who today is the proud mother of a small daughter, believes that “Master of Masters” suits her sister better anyway – and enjoys watching along in front of the TV screen.
– Camilla is more comfortable in front of a camera and such, so for me it’s a lot of fun to just watch, she says.
However, she does not rule out that she may once participate herself:
– If it suits the life situation, I could do it, says Anne Line to Nettavisen.
