The murder victim in Nes was a nurse

The police opened a murder investigation on Tuesday after four people were found dead in a residential building in Skogbygda in Nes in Romerike. Those killed were two women and a child. The alleged perpetrator is their father and grandfather.

The police state that the alleged perpetrator called the police himself and reported that he had killed his two daughters and grandchildren. He also said he wanted to take his own life. All four were dead when the police arrived at the scene.

Wednesday night writing VG that the youngest daughter, aged 24, was a trained nurse. She must have lived in the childhood home, reports the newspaper.

– She was a super sweet girl, sociable and very helpful, says an acquaintance of the 24-year-old to VG.

The eldest daughter was a trained police officer and worked at Eidsvoll police station. Last year she became a mother for the first time – to the baby who was killed, writes VG.

Now the police will look to see if there is anything in terms of history, physical or mental health or other information that can help shed light on the case.

– Based on what I know so far, there is no known history that should be able to explain this, says police inspector Grete Metlid in the Oslo police district.

She says the police, among other things, through questioning, are trying to form a picture of what the alleged perpetrator was like in the days before the murders and whether there is anything that can shed light on what have been the triggering factors – or a possible motive.

– A serious and unbelievably sad matter, says Metlid.
