The perpetrator of the robbery fell dead in the home of a Carabobo merchant

The director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, announced on Wednesday that Jonal Mauricio Catary Durant, one of the individuals responsible for a robbery in Valencia, Carabobo state, has been killed. According to reports, Catary, along with an accomplice known as “El Mano de Goma,” entered a merchant’s home with firearms in an attempt to steal a large sum of cash. When officials located Catary, he engaged in a confrontation with them and was fatally wounded. The Cicpc has also identified a third individual involved in the robbery, who is still at large. Catary had a history of criminal activity, including robbery, drug-related offenses, and possession of illegal firearms. The case is being handled by the 35th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of Carabobo state.
