BEIJING – He had already done so in 1962, setting a record: the first man in the world to cross the Pacific – from Japan to America – alone and without stopping in any port. Sixty years later, at the ripe old age of 83, Kenichi Horie he did it again, going the other way around and pocketing another record, becoming the oldest person to accomplish such a feat.
