The Ministry of the Environment and the Botanical Garden of Bogotá informs citizens that Guadalupe – Aguanoso and San Francisco – Vicachá trails They will be closed until the fires that occur in the Eastern Hills are controlled. This decision is made as a preventive measure due to the emergencies that are occurring in this forest reserve.

To these two closed paths (La Vieja and Guadalupe – Aguanoso) join the way Santa Ana – La Aguadora, in Usaquén and San Francisco – Vicachálocated in the eastern part in the towns of Santa Fe and La Candelaria.

“We took a measure and that is that we are going to close the paths that belong to the Aqueduct in a preventive manner because we cannot increase the risks due to having a presence that can lead to situations like this,” explained the Mayor of Bogotá, Carlos Fernando Galán when referring to the investigation that points to a bonfire as the origin of one of the fires presented.

Once they are enabled again, the Ministry of the Environment, the Aqueduct and Sewage Company and the Botanical Garden will be reporting through official channels.
