Liverpool –
Jayden Dance be the star of victory Liverpool above Southampton. Danns’ performance is legendary Manchester United Roy Keane impressed.
Danns was only a reserve when Liverpool hosted Southampton in the FA Cup Fifth Round, Thursday (29/2/2024) early morning WIB. Liverpool, who were under more pressure, were able to take the lead in the 44th minute through Lewis Koumas.
In the second half, Danns was introduced to replace Koumas in the 63rd minute. Danns then doubled Liverpool’s lead to 2-0 in the 73rd minute, followed by his second goal in the 88th minute.

Liverpool won 3-0 and progressed to the quarter-finals to meet Manchester United. Danns’ name became even better after making his debut last week when Liverpool faced Luton Town.
Danns then played again in the English League Cup final before scoring two debut goals for Liverpool. Danns’ performance when they met Southampton amazed Keane.
Because, Keane saw Danns playing like a senior player, not a player who had just made his professional debut.
“We talked before the match about the opportunity for young players to play at big clubs. It’s not easy, but when you get it, you have to maximize it, and he did it tonight. His goals were extraordinary,” said Keane in an interview with ITV.
“That’s the difference, the quality, the passing and the decision-making. That’s the reason these young players are at Liverpool.”
“I was probably more impressed with Danns’ second goal than the first, because of his reaction. When the ball was shot, he immediately moved. There was a defender marking him. It was a striker’s instinct. He made it look easy.”
