It was sad news when all of Norway received the news that Yngvar Numme died on 23 November 2023.
Yngvar Numme was a legendary figure in Norwegian entertainment, known for his wide range of talents as an actor, director, lyricist and presenter.
His passing leaves a deep loss in the hearts of those who knew him and admired his work. Numme stood out with his sharp wit, musical abilities and a unique ability to capture the audience, whether on stage, in front of the camera, or through the lyrics he wrote.
His son Thomas Numme shared the following on Instagram when it became known.
We understand it is sad to lose your dad, and especially a dad who took up so much space and was loved by so many. Now Thomas Numme has shared a few words about his father’s passing. To The daily newspaper he says that he was sitting in a restaurant when it happened, but that he hardly believed it.
– I reacted with complete denial. I didn’t believe it, couldn’t take it in, writes See and here.
Yngvar was on the Spanish sunny coast when he died, in the place they call Casa Numme.
He also shares the following words about his dad:
– I keep waiting for him to call.
It all happened very quickly, when Thomas describes it he says:
– Yes. He sat and laughed at something he saw on TV, then twenty seconds passed and then he was gone, writes The daily newspaper.
We realize there is an empty room after his father is gone. After all, he didn’t have an ordinary father, he shared him with the entire population of Norway. Yngvar Numme is probably best known for the warm-hearted comedian, who always got a smile and a laugh. But he is perhaps best known to everyone as the star of the show group Dizzie Tunes.
