“I’m going to win in Banja Luka, I’m not going to leave the mayorship to the SNDS candidates, Vlad Đajić, Srđan Amidžić or Draško Stanivuković,” Trivić said.
The president of the People’s Front emphasized that this party will propose a candidate for chief/mayor in seven or eight local communities in Srpska, including Banjaluka.
She pointed out that the goal is for the opposition to have as many joint candidates as possible.
“Personally, I would like to receive the support of other opposition parties for the candidacy. For us, Stanivuković is not a candidate of the opposition. But I don’t think that this can disrupt relations in the opposition in other places,” she stated, and added:
“We will have our candidates in Gradiška, Bratunac, Šipovo, Jezera, Višegrad, Osmača and Banjaluka of course”.
Milan Miličević, the president of SDS, said that they have not yet made a decision on how they will perform in Banja Luka, but that the strongest opposition party will have its candidates in 90 percent of municipalities and cities in Srpska.
“Of course, the goal is not only to win the elections, but also to win the majority in the assemblies,” he said.
When asked – Does he believe that the disagreement in Banja Luka could affect the situation in the entire Republic for the opposition, he said that he does not believe that and that there is no reason for it.
